The Tale of the Lost Barclay Treasure (card)
Arrrh me lads. I'll tell you the tale of the Lost Barclay Treasure (card), and may it serve ta warn ye about ever attempting such a venture.
Twas a week ago I got a message from the company that me trusty old treasure card needed to be replaced on account of some pirates who be stealin the information off them. They said the old one would no longer be valid after tomorrow. Now needin to buy rum and all the other swag, I said I had to have it before I got back to port in the USA. So I told the lady
"Send it on to me here in Costa Rica."
Where be that she asked….?
"Arrrh….. It be 200 paces up the road to the first beach, at the pink big bush turn left and walk 50 paces up the hill. Then up the 20 stairs and turn right and go 20 paces to unit one - All this be'in in the town of Playa Hermosa in the Province of Guanacaste, and the country of Costa Rica.
"Right sir, can you tell me the address?"
"Blast ye woman, I just did!" Says I
"OK, what is the zipcode?"
Puzzled I said I had no idea there even was one, but amazingly she found one.
I said "Send it on the fastest packet ship ye can, but be wary of those pirates from the Spanish Customs House."
Well me lads, twas a dark and stormy night that raged over the Spanish Mane; and here in Costa Rica as well. I heard tell that the package had left the port of Georgia on the packet ship FedEx bound for Costa Rica.
Alas…That was the last we ever saw or heard of the new treasure card. Some say it be down there with Davy Jones swimmin with the fishes. Other's say it be taken by pirates or stuck in some office in San Jose. No man will ever know for sure.
The only word anyone had of its fate was a cryptic message left on an electronic piece of parchment that said….
